Pastor Robert Ziehmer, Pastor

Pastor Robert has lived and served in churches throughout the country. He grew up in Michigan and Oregon. He graduated college at Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon and earned a Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, IN. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from the University of Notre Dame. Robert married his wife Nichole in November 2022. He has two children, Elena and Benjamin. Nichole has two children, Jacob and Myla. Robert and Nichole are adding to their family in November when their son is due.

Robert began ministry as a youth pastor and since his ordination in the Christian Church Disciples of Christ in 2000, pastored churches in Shelbyville, Indiana, Middle Tennessee, Memphis, Tennessee, Amarillo, Texas, and two churches in Berks county. Robert possesses a passion for preaching, teaching the Bible, growing churches and maturing Christians.

Matt Wary, Minister of Music

Matt came to Good Shepherd in 2003. While his number one passion is playing the organ, he also enjoys the piano and has a background in percussion. At Good Shepherd, he currently leads the Adult, Youth, Cherub, and Handbell Choirs. In the community, you might see him manning the front desk at the Boyertown YMCA or pitching for the church softball team. Outside the church, Matt’s interests include trains and sports, especially as a lifelong fan of the Phillies.

Douglas Parry has been with Good Shepherd since August of 2022, coming to us from Bethany Children’s home. He holds a degree in Biblical Studies from Eastern University, where he served as a student chaplain. A lifelong Christian, he has been in South Eastern Pennsylvania since 2007, spending his high school years as part of Trinity Lutheran church in Lansdale, PA. He found his calling for youth ministry during his high school years serving in various leadership roles for the area Synod. His passion to teach youth the love and grace of Jesus, empowering them to own their faith is the driving force behind his ministry at Good Shepherd.

Gerry Day, Office Manager

Gerry Day, Office Manager

Gerry has served as the Office Manager at Good Shepherd for the past eight years. She is married to Keith and they have a daughter, Kristy. They reside in Douglassville, along with their furry friend, Buddy. Gerry is a life-long member of St. James Lutheran Church in Geigertown. Gerry loves spending time with family, friends and as much time as possible outside in their flower gardens.

Pamela Kalamon, Secretary

Pamela Kalamon, Secretary Pam has been a member of Good Shepherd since 1990 and an Office Secretary since 1998.Pam and her husband, Bill, live in Pike Township where they spend their time hosting family gatherings & their love of gardening. They enjoy traveling around the country & going on day trips. They have 3 grown children and a granddaughter. Pam loves her job at the church and helping the congregation whenever she can. Since attending the church, she has been active in Women events, dinners, book clubs, fundraising, breakfasts, retreats and Bible studies.
