The purpose of Mission & Outreach here at Good Shepherd is to demonstrate Christ's love by serving, supporting, and uplifting our community and the world! From local ministries to global initiatives, our team is passionate about living out our vision so that we can be a testimony to Christ as His light and salt of the world (Matthew 5:13-16).
- We currently have teams that participate in supporting local ministries such as Good Works, and Operation 143. We hold collection drives monthly for Preston's Pantry and often support Hope Rescue Mission, Safe Berks, and initiatives such as Baby Manna.
- Throughout the year we promote special offerings to support Our Church's Wider Mission nationally and globally.
- We support Samaritan's Purse with Operation Christmas Child and look forward to partnering with them for a disaster relief missions trip this upcoming Fall.
- We partner with Appalachia Service Project for a service trip each summer that includes an intergenerational group of members helping to repair homes in the Appalachia Region.
